Norway : The Lords of the Fjords

An Exploration of Viking History and Myth

Explore the world of medieval Europe’s most infamous inhabitants – the Vikings. Set amongst the incredible scenery of northern Norway, this voyage not only gives guests the opportunity to engage in fascinating history but it also allows them to get remarkably close to the famous fjords of Norway. The specially designed vessels used on these voyages are able to get extraordinarily close to the rugged coastline and fjords. The cruise begins in Bergen and ends in Kirkenes while stopping in some of the most remote towns, villages and famous cities along the way.

Joining this voyage and leading several discussions is Viking enthusiast Klaus Kiesewetter. Born in Germany, Klaus studied Nordic history, language and old literature in Reykjavik and has travelled extensively in the high Arctic. Kiesewetter also produces TV documentaries and writes for newspapers about the Polar Regions.
