The opportunity to capture the Northern Lights is a photographer's dream but in addition to that, winter in Norway has much to offer the amateur photographer. With a specific focus on digital photography, you will learn how to realise the full potential of your digital camera.
Day 1 -
Arrive in Bergen

Arrive in Bergen and embark your cruise ship.
An experienced lecturer in photography joins you as you travel on the Voyage North. Sailing among islands and fjords, you discover how to get the best results from digital cameras and maximise the potential of related photographic software. The changing Arctic light will challenge your skills whether you zoom in on aspects of life on board, or try to reproduce the silent beauty of snow draped settlements fringing the shore.

Day 2 -
Alesund
|
Arrive in Alesund and from here you will have the chance of an optional walking tour to see this pretty town.

Day 3 -
Trondheim
|
Continue sailing north and you head for the medieval city of Trondheim whose colourful history is reflected in its architecture.

Day 4 -
Arctic Circle
|
After crossing the Arctic Circle you travel onwards to the modern town of Bodo before sailing through the glorious Lofoten Islands.

Day 5 -
Tromso
|
Relax on board this morning before the arrival into Tromso, the Arctic capital of Norway. Visit the Arctic Cathedral or the Museum and Polaria centre which explores Arctic life over the centuries (optional extras).

Day 6 -
North Cape
|
Following an early call at Hammerfest you will arrive into Honningsvag where you can take an optional tour to the North Cape.

Day 7 -
Kirkenes
|
Witness the landscape become increasingly dramatic as the ship approaches Kirkenes, which is just 10 kilometres from the Russian border. There are a range of optional activities available including an excursion to the Russian border, snowmobiling and a husky adventure. Bid farewell to your fellow passengers and transfer to the airport for your return flight.
