Enjoy a spectacular Northern lights cruise around arctic Norway
Your Aurora Borealis cruise commences in Bergen, with a leisurely voyage north, observing the sky for a chance to see the magical Aurora's. We head now for the sheltered harbour of Kirkenes. Here, you can visit the Russian border, stay in a stylish ice room in a Snow Hotel wrapped up warm, or enjoy a taste of Sami life.

Day 1 -
Fly to Bergen
|
Fly to Bergen and transfer to the ship. Once on board speak to the pursers desk to arrange a wake up call if the Aurora Borealis are sighted.

Day 2 -
Alesund
|
Enjoy the voyage north sailing into Alesund which has been completely rebuilt in Art Nouveau style having been destroyed by a fire in 1904.

Day 3 -
Arrive in Trondheim
|
Arrive in Trondheim early morning where you have time to explore the town's delightful wooden buildings and impressive 14th century Nidaros Cathedral.

Day 4 -
Cross the Arctic Circle
|
Today you will cross the Arctic Circle and then sail on to the legendary Lofoten Islands. From here you will be able to visit the world's first Ice Gallery 'Magic Ice' which features ice sculptures and atmospheric music that illustrates tales about the islands and their people.

Day 5 -
Tromso
|
After a relaxing morning on board you will arrive in Tromso, Norway's Arctic capital which is a wonderful place to view the magical Northern Lights. Optional excursions such as dog sledging are available depending on the weather conditions.

Day 6 -
North Cape
|
After an early call at Hammerfest you will arrive in Honningsvag where you can take an optional excursion to the most Europe's most northerly point the North Cape.

Day 7 -
Night in the Snow Hotel
|
Scenery and sea life will become more dramatic as you approach Kirkenes which lies just 10km from the Russian border. Transfer to the Snow Hotel for your special Arctic experience. The hotel is constructed entirely from snow and ice each year and from here you will be able to join in some optional excursions including a king crab safari.

Day 8 -
Fly home to the UK
|
Enjoy a sauna before breakfast, after which you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home
