The best time to see the Northern Lights is during the darkest months of winter, which is usually between November and March. However in several locations it is possible to see the Northern Lights from October to April. The best time to see the Northern Lights also depends on the moons phases; you are less likely to see the Northern Lights during a full moon. Another factor to consider when going on holiday to see the Northern Lights is the location, as you are more likely to see the Northern Lights if you are above the Arctic Circle.
